What you will be doing:
  • Execute history reporting on products, customers and dealers to be shared with managers and leadership to direct future focus, initiatives and decision-making.
  • Conduct analysis on key competitors.
  • Curate content for PowerPoint presentations that can be utilized by sales teams to drive demand.
  • Concept, develop and implement creative marketing materials and advertisements (digital and print).
  • Analyze Excel files for data assessment.
  • Gather market data to guide product development and life-cycle management projects.
  • Opportunity to work on short- and long-term projects. Some responsibilities may contribute to larger global and/or regional product development projects over time.

Qualifications:
  • Computer Skills – Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • This role is year-round. Expected work hours are 15-20 per week, on-site (Grand Rapids) during the school year, but we are flexible and will work around your class schedule. Hours are full-time (40 hours) during the summer.
  • You are a current Junior or Senior with a strong record of academic achievement and extra-curricular leadership.
  • An interest and understanding of the field of electronics or electrical engineering is preferred, but not required.
Your Future Team:
The New Business Innovations (NBI) collaborates cross-functionally with other groups throughout the organization. The NBI team incubates new ideas and projects aimed at positioning Steelcase for growth. Presently we are testing a four-year-old electrical product for Steelcase, which is to be launched into a new distribution channel. This internship would give you an opportunity to practice all aspects of a product launch, as well as experience life-cycle management tactics.
