What you will be doing:
Your goal in this position is to facilitate and lead the auditing process of JSA for the compliance yearly audit and craft process developments for ergonomic improvement.
How will you meet this goal?
  • Job Safety Analysis will be completed through thorough analysis of all machinery and items. Gives direct instruction for wearables, safety and risks. SharePoint site edited and updated with updates. Ops Manager
  • You will manage all tracking and documentation of audit, uploading through SharePoint.
  • You will ensure quality for job safety and make changes as needed based on audit.
  • Do you like being hands-on and directly involved with your work? You will be on the floor 50% of time evaluating the job process.
  • Do you enjoy evaluating new ways to make processes more efficient and holistic? You may resolve issues to improve safety of job process through ergonomics.
This role has the opportunity to continue throughout the school year.
Who you are:
You love forming new relationships. In class, you love learning about technical processes, safety regulations, and policies. You can communicate across all levels and know how to influence a conversation to provide the most valuable outcome. In group projects you're always will to help others and take the extra step to get things done. You enjoy sharing new information, while also learning form others.
  • Strong technical skills: Microsoft Office (365 and SharePoint preferred).
  • Ergonomic process/ concept exposure is preferred.
  • Industrial hygiene exposure is helpful.
  • Major: Occupational Safety and Health Management
  • Preferred year: Rising Junior/ Rising Senior (May 2020- May 2021)
  • This position is located at our Manufacturing facility.
  • Expected Start Date: Spring 2019
