Purchasing Specialist - Temporary work (3 months) - Proceso Cerrado

The primary function of Purchasing is to economically and efficiently purchase goods and services commensurate with AbbVie policies and objectives, while adhering to a strict standard of business ethics and integrity. Provides high levels of customer satisfaction. Manages suppliers effectively. The Purchasing Specialist works closely with Affiliates at levels up to and including directors and divisional vice presidents in a technical and/or specialist role for IT/Telecoms. PSM provides sourcing direction to multiple functional areas within the company, and directly manages cross functional sourcing teams in a virtual environment including affiliate purchasing on the strategic sourcing initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

-Support to Category Specialist to ensure negotiation projects are implemented according to AbbVie standards, procedures and requirements.

-Inform key stakeholders within Procurement and Supplier Management, on project implementation progress. Highlight areas of concerns, barriers and potential delays with enough notification time to take corrective actions.

-Conduct stakeholder and supplier interviews and review existing contracts, in conjunction with Strategic Sourcing Category Specialist.

-Support to the Strategic Sourcing Category Specialist on the supplier data spend profile for the preparation of RFPs or RFIs.

-Working with the Affiliates and Purchasing Managers in helping and  support regional sourcing project.

Ensuring strong and robust communications with all stakeholders (internal and external)

Establishing correct data and perform detailed and complex data analysis

Technical Knowledge:

Excel proficiency.

Good English proficiency (written and oral); other language skills important.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or related discipline/equivalent qualification
